ASTM D1092 Apparent Viscosity Tester for Lubricating Greases with Digital PID Temperature Control and ±0.1℃ Accuracy

This instrument meets the test method for the apparent viscosity of lubricating greases.
It is applicable for the determination of the apparent viscosity of lubricating greases within a temperature range of -54°C to 38°C, expressed in Poise (P).
Measuring Range:
At 0.1 s^-1: 25 ~ 10⁵P
At 15,000 s^-1: 1 ~ 100 P
A floating piston driven by a hydraulic system forces the sample through a capillary tube.
The apparent viscosity is calculated from the predetermined flow rate and the applied force in the system according to the Poiseuille equation.
Apparent viscosity is measured at 16 shear rates using 8 capillary tubes of different diameters and 2 pump speeds.
The test results are presented as a log-log plot of apparent viscosity versus shear rate.
